About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at The Rock Christian Community Daycare. As an integral part of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of our young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Childcare Programs: Support the development and implementation of child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Housekeeping and Cooking Duties: Assist co-workers in maintaining a clean and safe environment, and contribute to meal preparation and cooking duties.
  • Childcare Support: Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, and assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote child development.
  • Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in maintaining accurate records.
  • Encourage Creativity: Engage children in activities that promote creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Establish Relationships: Collaborate with co-workers and community service providers to establish and maintain relationships that support child development.
  • Food Safety: Demonstrate food safety and handling skills to ensure a safe environment for children.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Certifications: Child development assistant (ECE level 1) and First Aid Certificate.
