The Senior Procurement Specialist - IT plays a pivotal role in managing the sourcing of approximately $100 million in technology-related indirect expenditures for McCain Foods. This individual is tasked with formulating sourcing strategies, implementing tactical plans, and executing key initiatives within the IT category, which encompasses Hardware, Software/SaaS, Telecom/Networking, and Consulting Services.

This position involves orchestrating sourcing events, negotiating contractual terms, and nurturing supplier relationships while monitoring performance and delivering value. The Senior Procurement Specialist will provide recommendations and insights on optimal solutions for the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience and expertise in IT procurement, along with familiarity with the Coupa Source to Pay system. They will influence business requirements and commercial outcomes through procurement best practices. This role will oversee the supplier relationship strategy for their designated spend area, ensuring ethical treatment of suppliers and adherence to company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cost-effective strategies for indirect spending in assigned IT sub-categories.
  • Execute sourcing event plans and strategies to achieve ongoing cost savings.
  • Manage contract renewals and mitigate cost increases based on project scope.
  • Deliver Sustainable Cost Advantage (SCA) through effective analysis and negotiations.
  • Establish a supplier relationship program to maximize value for McCain Foods.
  • Foster strong partnerships with the IT, Finance, Compliance, and Legal teams.
  • Ensure proper management of procurement transactions within the indirect category.
  • Maintain and update Coupa for the Global Procurement Team.
  • Develop and execute strategies for assigned categories.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or IT; a Master's degree or procurement accreditation is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 3 years of procurement experience, preferably in IT-related spend areas; candidates with less experience but relevant indirect procurement knowledge will be considered.
  • Ability to cultivate strong internal and external partnerships.

  • Familiarity with SAP and indirect procurement systems.
  • Experience in reviewing Master Agreements and negotiating Statements of Work.

This role operates under a hybrid working model, requiring in-office presence a few times a week based on business needs.
