Business Governance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Governance Specialist to join our team at TD Bank. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective governance and compliance of our business operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in the identification, recommendation, and implementation of improvements to enhance customer experience, availability, and reduce cost in support of client needs.
- Influence product direction, foresee issues and gaps, identify solutions, and work comfortably with leading edge products that are untested/unproven in the market.
- Collaborate with business leaders, IT professionals, vendors/outsourced partners to assess viability/priority of projects/initiatives and ensure issues are clearly communicated.
- Ensure appropriate security levels are established and maintained for processes, information exchange, and system implementations.
- Interface with audit to ensure all artifacts are in order.
- Drive and manage controls environment, covering change management, production implementation, compliance, and audit controls, and business continuity.
- Participate in regulatory examinations and external/internal audits with respect to request for information regarding CIAM portfolio, reviewing, packaging, and providing information for department executives.
- Participate in cross-functional/enterprise initiatives as a subject matter expert helping to identify risk/provide guidance for complex situations.
- Conduct meaningful research, analysis, and assessment of Compliance program activities at the functional level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess the effectiveness of enterprise Compliance programs.
- Deliver relevant subject matter expertise and Compliance advice to business Compliance partners.
- Interact with control functions within the organization.
- Prepare summaries, presentations, briefing notes, and any other required documentation to effectively report on the status of the Compliance program.
- Adhere to enterprise frameworks and methodologies that relate to activities for our business area.
- Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.
- Make sure respective programs/policies/practices are professionally managed, meet business needs, comply with internal and external requirements, and align with business priorities.
- Lead on the implementation of governance and control initiatives in support of the overall business/function strategy.
- Manage a set of business governance and control work activities requiring coordination across multiple areas.
- Undergraduate degree or relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or CISA preferred.
- Graduate degree, preferred.
- 7+ years relevant experience.
- NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF), ITIL, Cloud.
- IT Risk and controls background (experience in Audit or lines of defense processes).
- Advanced knowledge of the business and technology standards.
- IAM understanding (IAM products, relevant technology, and industry best practices).
- Demonstrated ability to assess priorities quickly and adapt as needed.
- Prior experience with building pRCSA's.
- Works autonomously as the lead and guides others within area of expertise.
- Strong organizational awareness with an ability to influence outside of a direct reporting relationship by balancing viewpoints of various stakeholders.
