About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at First Hire inc. as an Industrial Electrical Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical systems and equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on electrical systems, including testing, inspecting, and repairing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Installation and Repair: Install and repair electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, and control systems, to meet the needs of our industrial clients.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot electrical system issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure all electrical work is performed in accordance with relevant codes and regulations, including the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and apprentices to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience in electrical systems maintenance and repair.
  • Certifications: Possession of a valid Industrial Electrician Red Seal Certificate or equivalent certification.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical systems maintenance and repair, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Language: Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
