We are currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Engage with clients to guarantee precise and timely order fulfillment and dispatch.
  • Prepare pallets for dispatch and pack completed orders efficiently.
  • Ensure prompt unloading of delivery vehicles.
  • Examine incoming deliveries, reject damaged goods, document discrepancies, and liaise with suppliers to resolve issues.
  • Direct items to appropriate locations within the facility.
  • Utilize a scanner to input items into the inventory system and apply labels.
  • Operate forklifts or hand trucks to transport shipments from the receiving area to storage or work zones.
  • Verify identification details, count, weigh, or measure items from shipments to ensure accuracy against shipping documents.
  • Organize and route all incoming and outgoing items for delivery or placement in inventory according to set guidelines.
  • Determine the most suitable shipping methods and arrange for freight carriers as necessary.
  • Complete shipping manifest documentation and collaborate with customer service.
  • Label packed boxes appropriately and select stock items for shipment from inventory.
  • Maintain an inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Assist in the upkeep of equipment to ensure optimal performance, including participating in preventive maintenance.
  • Uphold a respectful and professional environment while adhering to the company's ethical standards.
  • Perform any other related duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong observational skills.
  • Effective problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to regularly lift or move loads up to 35 pounds.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated sense of responsibility and initiative.
  • Engagement in team activities.
  • Knowledge of English is advantageous.

Benefits and Employment Terms:

  • Standard work schedule of Monday to Friday (37.5 hours/week).
