Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Orthopedic Unit at Alberta Health Services. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive patient care in accordance with Alberta Health Services policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care and promote a positive patient experience.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
- Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health literacy and self-management.
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
- Previous orthopedic surgery experience and arthroplasty experience required.
- Demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and priority setting skills.
- Able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Two years of charge nurse experience.
- CNA Specialization in Orthopedics.
- Direct IV, PICC, and experience with the care of patients with spinal anesthesia.
