Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at J&R Transport Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating activities with other work units or departments, preparing and submitting reports, and arranging for maintenance and repair work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinating Activities
    • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping
    • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date work records and logs.
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Arrange for maintenance and repair work to be performed on company vehicles and equipment.
  • Dispatch and Logistics
    • Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders.
    • Process and transmit information and instructions to coordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment.
  • Supervision
    • Supervise a team of 5-10 people.
  • Computer and Technology
    • Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Excellent oral communication skills.
    • Flexible and organized with a strong work ethic.
    • Reliable and a team player with initiative.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience, or equivalent experience.
