Welder Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Avantis Marine North America Inc. as a Marine Fabrication Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and ensuring that welds meet standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret welding process specifications and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication and repair of metal parts and products.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), and gas metal arc welding (GMAW).
- Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications, and make adjustments as necessary.
- Operate flame-cutting equipment to cut and shape metal parts.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and working overtime as required.
- 1-2 years of experience in welding, preferably in a marine environment.
- Basic security clearance.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and handle heavy loads.
- Physically demanding work environment.

The successful candidate will work in a marine environment, with regular exposure to steel, iron, and heavy metals. The work site environment will include confined spaces, and the candidate must be able to work in a physically demanding environment with regular overtime required.
