Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Director of Corporate & International Taxation to join our team at Targray Group Headquarters in Montreal, Quebec. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our tax strategy, ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations, and providing expert advice to our senior management and owners.
Responsibilities
International Tax- Develop and implement Targray's international tax policies and compliance strategies to support our global operations.
- Lead the development and implementation of our transfer pricing policy and strategy.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian and US income tax laws and regulations.
- Oversee the Company's tax compliance in all operational jurisdictions.
- Account for income taxes in Canadian and International subsidiaries.
- Lead audits of international, federal, provincial, and state income tax.
- Oversee and manage the process of import and export taxes, VAT, sales and other indirect taxes in various jurisdictions.
- Lead the indirect tax team and oversee the Company's sales tax, VAT, and fuel tax filings.
- Work closely with Targray's legal department to establish new entities internationally and manage ongoing entity compliance.
- Strategically review Targray Group entities for potential restructuring and tax planning strategy.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Taxation or equivalent.
- Recognized professional title in accounting and/or law.
- Minimum of 10 years related experience, including 3 or more years leading and managing an international tax team.
Knowledge/skills
- Experience in commodities trading, supply chain management, and logistics is highly preferred.
- Experience in an international business and/or multinational corporation or firm is required.
- Knowledge of Canadian and US tax rules is required.
