Job Title: Director of Corporate and International Taxation

Targray is seeking an experienced Director of Corporate and International Taxation to join our team at our headquarters in Montreal, Quebec. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our tax strategy, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, and providing expert advice to our senior management and owners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Targray's tax strategy, including all components of compliance, tax planning, indirect taxes, and accounting for income taxes.
  • Lead a team of 4 people specialized in indirect and corporate & international taxation.
  • Work with advisors, service providers, and other tax professionals to carry out responsibilities in various jurisdictions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the business on tax and entity management matters for new businesses and transactions.
  • Provide advice and updates to senior management and owners about the Company's tax strategy, practices, and exposures.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years related experience, including 3 or more years leading and managing an international tax team.
  • Experience at a top 4 accounting firm is an asset.
  • Experience in commodities trading, supply chain management, logistics firm is highly preferred.
  • Experience in an international business and/or multinational corporation or firm is required.
  • Knowledge of Canadian and US tax rules is required.
  • Experience with Switzerland, India, and any other jurisdiction is an asset.
