Job Title: Steel Stud Framer

Canada Inc is seeking a skilled Steel Stud Framer to join our team. As a Steel Stud Framer, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Work Environment

Our Steel Stud Framer will work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments. You will be required to work in various locations, including construction sites, renovation projects, and commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
Requirements
  • Working at heights training.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course.
  • Bondable.
  • Criminal record check.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
  • Handling heavy loads.
  • Physically demanding.
