Position Overview: Dean of Faculties of Human Sciences and Philosophy
The Faculties of Human Sciences and Philosophy are in search of a visionary leader who embraces innovation and progressive thinking. The successful candidate will demonstrate the capacity to modify or create programs that respond to contemporary challenges while promoting and nurturing research endeavors.
Candidates must be fluent in both English and French and hold a doctoral degree, showcasing a robust background in education and research. Additionally, they should possess substantial experience in leadership and administration, including strategic planning and representing the institution effectively.
This role encompasses a three-year term with the potential for tenure following two years of dedicated service.
The Faculties of Human Sciences and Philosophy offer a diverse array of undergraduate and graduate programs across six specialized schools: School of Counselling, Psychotherapy and Spirituality; School of Conflict Studies; School of Social Communication; Élisabeth Bruyère School of Social Innovation; School of Ethics, Social Justice and Public Service; and Providence School of Leadership, Ecology and Equity. Furthermore, the Faculty of Human Sciences manages the Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre.
