- Work Hours: 40 hours per week
The ideal candidate will possess a secondary school graduation certificate and have 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in carpentry.
Work Environment- Work may involve heights, confined spaces, and exposure to noisy and dusty conditions.
- Work settings include residential and construction sites.
- Prepare labor and material cost estimates.
- Interpret blueprints and sketches to assess project requirements.
- Ensure layouts comply with building codes using precise measuring tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials including wood and lightweight steel.
- Construct foundations, install floor beams, and erect walls and roofing systems.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, and hardware.
- Coordinate and schedule work on-site.
- Supervise and instruct apprentices and other workers.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate wooden structures across various facilities.
Responsible for overseeing 1 to 2 workers.
Certifications- Completion of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) training.
- Training for working at heights.
Familiarity with hand tools is essential.
TransportationPublic transportation options are available for commuting.
Physical Requirements- Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel.
- Capable of a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Must handle heavy loads and meet tight deadlines.
- Work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Must provide own tools and safety equipment, including steel-toed boots, hard hats, safety glasses, and vests.
