Maintenance Planner at EllisDon

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies and schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering and Purchasing, to identify and address maintenance needs
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory levels
  • Ensure timely completion of facilities-related work orders and projects
  • Generate and release work orders to the Engineering Team, ensuring clear instructions and deadlines
  • Focus on inventory management and material procurement to minimize shortages and optimize resource allocation
  • Gather and analyze maintenance metrics to inform data-driven decision making
  • Adapt and apply procedures to daily activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and contractors
  • Consult with manager on complex maintenance decisions and provide recommendations for process improvements
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required to support the maintenance function

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and other maintenance software
  • APICS Certification or similar designation preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance planning and coordination
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and in a team
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools, with ability to apply them to daily activities
