Limited Term Faculty Positions in Technical Communication and Technology Studies

The Centre for Engineering in Society at Concordia University invites applications for two Limited Term Appointment faculty members at the rank of Lecturer in the areas of Technical Communication and Technology Studies.
Position OverviewThis is a 24-month Limited Term contract opportunity to teach and contribute to the Centre's mission. The successful candidates will be assigned undergraduate and graduate courses within one or more of the following areas:
- Technical and Professional Communication
- Impact of Engineering on Society
- Social and Ethical Implications of Digital Technologies
- Gender, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
Candidates are expected to develop online courses as part of their teaching load. Limited-term Faculty members at Concordia are full-time faculty members with no research obligations.
Qualifications and AssetsCandidates should hold a Ph.D. in Technical Communication, Science and Technology Studies, or a related discipline. The department seeks candidates with a demonstrated ability in teaching engineering students, particularly in areas such as:
- Writing support technologies for students with English as a second language
- Teaching experience in Technology, Engineering, and Society related to gender, equity, or sustainability
Experience in developing courses, especially in an online format, is an asset. Candidates are encouraged to share any career interruptions or personal circumstances that may have impacted their career goals.
