Job Title: Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at IWK Health. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze patient data and images to evaluate quality and consistency of diagnostic images
  • Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce and record images
  • Monitor examinations to ensure proper operation of equipment and make adjustments as required
  • Train students or other medical sonographers
  • Record, store, and process scanned images using camera units connected to ultrasound equipment
  • Prepare examination reports for physicians
Requirements:
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: Experience an asset
  • Work setting: Hospital/medical facility or clinic
Area of Specialization:
  • Obstetrical and gynecological sonography
  • Pediatric echocardiography
  • Pediatric neurosonology
