Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at IWK Health. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality diagnostic images to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze patient data and produce high-quality ultrasound images
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
  • Train and mentor students and junior sonographers
  • Record and store patient data and images in a secure and confidential manner
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
  • Registration with the Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (CSDMS)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
