Job Title: Corporate Tax Specialist

Manulife is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Tax Specialist to join our Canadian Product Tax team. As a key member of our team, you will provide tax advisory and compliance support for Canadian businesses and companies within Manulife.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Canadian Product Tax team and provide tax advisory services related to Manulife products and customers.
  • Oversee tax compliance related to customer taxation and manage tax and reputational risk.
  • Develop leadership skills, impact customer and advisor relationships, and represent Manulife on industry committees.
  • Advise business units on tax compliance requirements and participate in business projects to ensure tax compliance requirements are met.
  • Prepare written technical tax analysis and monitor tax legislation to identify implications for Manulife products and clients.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of Canadian tax experience, preferably in customer tax.
  • CPA In-Depth Tax Course.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with business lines and other legal and tax professionals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and/or Alteryx is an asset.
