Role Overview:

This role is pivotal in supporting Hudbay's operational excellence journey following the acquisition of the Copper Mountain Mining Company. The focus will be on implementing innovative business systems at our Copper Mountain Mine and integrating them into the Hudbay framework. The upcoming implementation of SAP S/4 HANA marks the beginning of a series of transformative projects aimed at enhancing our enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise Technology Support: Oversee and guide the IT Business System Analyst (BSA) team to ensure exceptional customer service in IT application support, effective troubleshooting, and clear communication with end users.
  • Operational Leadership: Develop and manage both short-term and long-term application operating plans, ensuring alignment with Hudbay's strategic objectives.
  • IT Support Management: Balance reliability, cost-effectiveness, and responsiveness of IT applications to meet business needs while maintaining high user satisfaction levels.

The role encompasses oversight of various software applications, including:

  • HRIS: SAP SuccessFactors
  • ERP: SAP ECC or SAP S/4 HANA
  • BI Applications for Financial Reporting: Workiva, Google BQ & Looker, SAP BO, SAP BW
  • EHSC Management System: Intelex
  • Expense Management: Certify
  • Sales and Marketing Systems: MineMan, Dynamics
  • Service Desk: ServiceNow
  • Workforce Management: Dayforce WFM
  • Safety and Environment Management: DATS, MonitorPro
  • Laboratory Management: CCLAS

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in managing business system software implementations, particularly with SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute operational and strategic IT plans aligned with business goals.
  • Strong background in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and user satisfaction within IT services.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on coaching and mentoring teams.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required; a master's degree is preferred.
