Job Title: Real Estate Law Clerk Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Law Clerk Specialist to join our team at Meridia Recruitment Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and editing real estate transaction documents, as well as preparing closing agendas and financial documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and editing real estate transaction documents, including corporate resolutions and certificates;
  • Preparing closing agendas and financial documentation;
  • Completing Land Transfer Tax beneficial transfer returns and affiliate deferral applications;
  • Reviewing and summarizing title searches, including survey, reference, and subdivisions plans;
  • Obtaining, reviewing, and summarizing off-title due diligence searches;
  • Reporting to clients during and following transactions;
  • Corresponding professionally with clients, lawyers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum five years' work experience in a clerical capacity in real estate law;
  • Strong knowledge of real estate legal software, including Teraview, Closer, and Unity;
  • Experience with commercial real estate development and/or corporate law is an asset;
  • Completion of a law clerk program or diploma is an asset;
  • Strong technical skills using Microsoft Office and legal accounting software;
  • Capable of working independently and collaborating with the team.

Working Conditions:

This is a hybrid position, with 50% of the time spent in the office.
