Job Title: Real Estate Law Clerk

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Real Estate Law Clerk to join our team at Linds & Associates Ltd. in downtown Toronto.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying commercial real estate files from beginning to end, preparing all related documents for purchase and sale transactions, mortgage transactions, routine loan transactions, and refinancing. They will also review title searches and prepare title memoranda, prepare off-title search letters, oversee off-title searches, and draft requisition letters and responses.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry commercial real estate files from beginning to end
  • Prepare all related documents for purchase and sale transactions, mortgage transactions, routine loan transactions, and refinancing
  • Review title searches and prepare title memoranda
  • Prepare off-title search letters and oversee off-title searches
  • Draft requisition letters and responses
  • Deal directly with clients, financial institutions, municipalities, land registry offices, and title insurance companies
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Real Estate Law Clerk with some exposure to commercial real estate matters
  • Successful completion of a related post-secondary education program in a legal assistant or law clerk program
  • Proficiency with Teraview and Unity
