Job Summary
The Provincial Director, Private Partnership Development is a key leadership role within BC Housing, responsible for promoting the organization's role in creating new rental and ownership housing for middle-income households. This position will facilitate the delivery of a portfolio of project proposals, provide leadership to a team of professionals, and coordinate the submission of project recommendations to various committees and approvers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to promote BC Housing's role in creating new rental and ownership housing for middle-income households.
- Facilitate the delivery of a portfolio of project proposals, including project planning, development, and construction of multi-unit residential housing.
- Provide leadership to a team of professionals, including project managers, developers, and industry partners.
- Coordinate the submission of project recommendations to various committees and approvers, including government officials and industry stakeholders.
- Evaluate and approve final project designs, construction specifications, cost estimates, and project schedules.
- Ensure successful project execution, including managing multiple issues and projects concurrently, coordinating work with others, and adapting to changing priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in urban land economics, business administration, real estate development, or related field.
- Extensive project management experience in developing multi-unit residential housing and mixed-use developments in the non-profit sector and private market.
- Excellent financial analysis, planning, monitoring, and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to examine, assess, and synthesize complex data and information to identify risks, develop options, and produce business cases and reporting for Executive Committee and approving authorities.
- Ability to learn and understand BC Housing's mandate, programs, and policies.
- Ability to adopt innovative methods and models in delivering rental, ownership, and housing programs that align with the BC Housing mandate.
- Ability to establish a high level of rapport with senior management, Executive, governments, market and industry housing, housing partners, and other relevant stakeholders and funding partners.
Working Conditions
- Work in a multi-disciplinary team environment on complex housing projects involving multiple funding, land, and development partners.
- Manage multiple issues and projects concurrently, coordinate work with others, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Communicate and relate effectively with housing sector participants, the construction industry, and other government agencies.
