Job Title: Director of Finance and Operations

At fishRecruit Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance and Operations to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the financial and operational performance of our Canadian business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Lead the monthly financial reporting process, including closing the books, preparing financial statements, and reporting results.
  • Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate financial forecasts, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Working Capital Management: Work with working capital leaders to ensure working capital accounts stay at or below budgeted amounts.
  • Annual Budgeting: Lead the annual budgeting process to ensure accuracy, completeness, and accountability throughout the Canadian organization.
  • Profitability and Pricing: Develop and implement strategies to improve profitability and pricing, including analyzing customer and product profitability.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement within the Finance organization, including process improvements and cost savings initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, preferably with a Master's degree, CPA, or CMA.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database/ERP applications.
