Opportunity Overview

Aecon Utilities is committed to delivering projects with a focus on Faster.Smarter.Safer. We are seeking a Yard Attendant to join our team and contribute to our goal of becoming Canada's #1 utility construction provider.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage safety material inventory levels based on workload forecasts and project material stock levels required for contracts.
  • Work with Procurement to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
  • Organize and manage record filing, including equipment and stock audits.
  • Coordinate testing and certification of tools and safety equipment.
  • Process returns of defective or damaged equipment.
  • Identify and report health and safety issues.
  • Determine inventory to load volumes and ensure supply exceeds demand.
  • Review documentation for accuracy prior to submission.
  • Perform daily shipping and receiving duties.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous shipping and receiving experience an asset.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license and Forklift Truck License or past experience operating loaders.
