Job Title: Pharmacy Technical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team at Shoppers Drug Mart #2201.

Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Technical Assistant will provide support to our pharmacists and pharmacy staff in ensuring the accuracy of prescription information, preparing medications for clients, and maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Verify prescription information for accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare medications for clients, including counting and labeling
  • Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications and answering customer inquiries
  • Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, including restocking shelves and cleaning equipment
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a pharmacy or related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
Work Environment:

The Pharmacy Technical Assistant will work in a fast-paced pharmacy environment, interacting with customers, pharmacists, and other staff members. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
