Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacists in delivering exceptional patient-focused services. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pharmacists with the execution of patient-focused services, including MedsChecksTM, pharmaceutical opinions, immunizations, and smoking cessation.
  • Abide by approved prescriptions, duties, and responsibilities per relevant College of Pharmacists.
  • Data entry and billing of prescriptions through Nexxsys, ensuring all required documentation is adequate and appropriate.
  • Prescription preparation, including regular prescriptions, compliance packaging, and simple compounding.
  • Monitor site refrigeration temperatures and report any variances directly to the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist on-duty.
  • Effectively communicate with external and internal contacts, developing and maintaining professional relationships with local healthcare professionals, suppliers, and private insurance payers.
Qualifications
  • Provincial Pharmacy Technician Registration (if applicable).
  • Experience in the industry, including third-party billing issues.
  • Self-starting and independent, with a strong motivation to succeed.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Discretion in handling confidential matters.
