Student Nutrition Team Lead Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our Student Nutrition Team in the Region of Peel. As a Student Nutrition Team Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our programs, working closely with schools, community members, and other organizations to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with school programs, community members, and other organizations to support program delivery and growth.
  • Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to support program sustainability.
  • Collaborate with community-based agencies, such as Public Health Departments, to access resources and support for program participants.
  • Communicate effectively with program locations, ensuring consistent and professional representation of the YMCA of Greater Toronto.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to program staff and volunteers to ensure safe and effective program delivery.
  • Develop and maintain accurate program data, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the start-up of new program sites, ensuring a smooth transition and effective program launch.
  • Work closely with coordinators to ensure program success, including parent and student engagement opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of local community and Ontario Student Nutrition Program.
  • Understanding of both public and separate school systems and field of education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with community, volunteers, and co-workers.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to represent the YMCA of Greater Toronto professionally.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
  • Commitment to the YMCA's values and mission, with a focus on the health, safety, and well-being of all children, youth, and vulnerable people in YMCA programs.
