About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our culinary team at Deerhurst Resort. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading our culinary operations and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Develop and implement menus that showcase our resort's culinary expertise and meet the expectations of our guests.
  • Chef Supervision: Supervise and train our kitchen staff to ensure that they are equipped to deliver high-quality dishes and exceptional service.
  • Inventory Management: Manage our inventory of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that we are operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of quality in all aspects of our culinary operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service.
  • Team Leadership: Foster a positive and productive team environment, promoting open communication, collaboration, and a culture of excellence.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Remote location, hotel, motel, or resort.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and excellent physical stamina.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, excellent oral communication, initiative, organized, reliability, team player, and time management.
