Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Hotel Night Auditor to join our team at Blackcomb Lodge Ltd. As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of hotel transactions and maintaining the integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Room Assignments: Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Group Arrivals and Departures: Process group arrivals and departures, taking into account room availability and guest preferences.
  • Reservation Management: Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed, ensuring that all changes are accurately reflected in our system.
  • Guest Services: Provide information on hotel facilities and services, as well as general information about points of interest in the area.
  • Departure Processing: Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Financial Management: Balance cash, complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments, ensuring that our system is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Emergency Procedures: Follow emergency and safety procedures, ensuring the well-being of our guests and staff.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, as well as clerical tasks such as faxing, filing, and photocopying.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Proficiency in central reservation systems (CRS), spreadsheets, and internet applications.
  • Transportation: Own transportation is an asset.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and resourcefulness.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Other Benefits: Parking available, permanent employment, English language, and 16 to 40 hours per week.
