Veterinary Talent Acquisition Specialist

At Practice Care Centre, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DVM Talent Acquisition Partner to join our team. As a key member of our Talent Acquisition team, you will play a critical role in building a national pipeline of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) contacts, managing and building a pipeline of talent, and assisting in the execution of a campus recruitment program.
Responsibilities:- Support Regional and Practice Managers throughout the DVM hiring process, including reviewing resumes, conducting phone interviews, preparing candidate recommendations, scheduling interviews, and closing candidates.
- Participate in the population of our database, focusing on record quality and quantity, as it relates to tracking DVMs and their contact information.
- Collaborate with the Manager, TA, to execute a campus recruitment plan with an emphasis on DVM programs across Canada.
- Attend and contribute to key professional conferences and industry events to expand our network and increase our profile in the marketplace.
- Identify creative venues for candidate attraction through DVM communities, including social media platforms and professional networking sites.
- Implement an outreach strategy for each DVM post created, targeting individuals within the related geographic catchment area.
- Utilize the Find'Em tool to its maximum potential, building projects for each opening alongside our TAS, and expanding our social media network through regular outreach and capturing contact data in our database.
- Develop and implement creative ways to reach our target audience of DVMs, working with marketing and the TA Team to coordinate, organize, and participate in VetCare recruitment events.
- Be the guru of DVM-related marketplace information, tracking current compensation trends and competitor intelligence.
- Represent Practice Care Centre as a Brand Ambassador at external events.
- A RVT/PM/DVM with clinical experience and a transition to a corporate role in sales, operations, or recruitment, with a demonstrated track record of building relationships and overcoming obstacles.
- Experience using a CRM database would be considered an asset.
- A natural ability to become part of the team, driven by a desire to contribute to the company's success.
- Effective time management and organization skills, with the ability to work under deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Advanced customer service skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
- Maturity and flexibility to thrive in a fast-growing, dynamic organization with a self-governing culture.
This is a remote role for a candidate located in the GTA, Calgary, or Vancouver.
