Our interdisciplinary group includes family physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, mental health specialists, dietitians, and more, all working together in a collaborative care framework. The North End Community Health Centre is committed to providing equitable healthcare and access to a variety of services and programs. We provide adaptable shifts and hours within a supportive and collaborative environment. Our team collectively addresses the various factors influencing the health and wellness of our clients. The Community Health Centre excels in recognizing and advocating for the social determinants of health, significantly impacting the overall healthcare system. Key ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting patient examinations and gathering medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advising patients on healthcare, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Providing consultations and referrals to other healthcare professionals.
- Acting as an advocate for patients.
- Prescribing and administering medications, treatments, inoculations, and vaccinations.
- Reporting births, deaths, contagious diseases, and other health conditions in accordance with public health regulations.

Required QualificationsCandidates must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
Certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) is also required.
Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) is necessary.
