Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient examinations, gather medical histories, and order diagnostic tests as needed.
- Provide comprehensive healthcare advice, focusing on health promotion and disease prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with other medical practitioners through consultations and referrals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Act as a dedicated advocate for your patients, ensuring their needs are met throughout their healthcare journey.
- Prescribe medications and treatments, administer inoculations and vaccinations, adhering to Nova Scotia Public Health requirements.
Qualifications
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Certification eligibility with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
- Membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
