Job Summary:

Leela Indian Food Bar is seeking a skilled Culinary Event Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for coordinating special events, determining food portion sizes and costs, and requisitioning food and kitchen supplies.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate special events, including menu planning and food preparation
  • Determine the size of food portions and costs, ensuring efficient use of resources
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, maintaining inventory and records
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to high culinary standards
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety
  • Order supplies and equipment, maintaining a well-stocked kitchen
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring accurate tracking
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment

Requirements:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work on site, with no option for remote work
  • Physically demanding work, requiring standing for extended periods
