Thales is seeking a seasoned Senior Business Analyst to join our team in Ottawa, Canada. As a key member of our Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ship and Joint Support Ship In-Service Support (AJISS) program, you will be responsible for documenting and maturing processes to drive business improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Business Analysis team within AJISS to define and mature processes;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine processes based on end-user interviews and workshops;
- Apply LEAN techniques, including Value Stream Mapping, to assess enterprise process maturity;
- Develop value propositions to engage with sponsors and customers;
- Liaise with the AJISS Team to ensure coherent messaging to the AJISS Customer;
- Contribute to the development of Value Engineering Change Proposals (VECPs) per the approved AJISS template;
- Recommend strategies to promote a collaborative and innovation culture within DND/RCN and across the AJISS Enterprise.
- University degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a relevant discipline;
- 12+ years of experience documenting business processes and system requirements;
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience leading Business Analysis activities or workshops in a large-scale project;
- Proven problem-solving and analytic skills with a track record of successful outcomes;
- Experience in business/enterprise architecture, developing business strategies, and a Navy or Aviation maintenance context;
- Practical experience in design thinking/design workshops.
