Position Overview: Monday to Friday, 14:00 - 22:30, 40 hours per week.

Role Summary

The PM Package Sorting Specialist is responsible for organizing and categorizing freight based on various criteria such as destination, weight, size, and shape to ensure timely deliveries for our clients.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday – 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
Compensation: $22.27 per hour, with a maximum rate of $29.23 as per the collective agreement.

Key Responsibilities

- Unload freight from trucks onto the conveyor system and vice versa.
- Transfer freight from the conveyor or chute for outgoing shipments.
- Load freight into linehaul or cube trucks and trailers.
- Prepare mail and packages for curbside delivery vehicles.
- Manually handle bulk or non-conveyable items.
- Scan all outgoing or incoming mail and packages to identify any misrouted items or those marked for priority delivery.

Additional DutiesQualificationsExperience

No specialized education is required.
No prior experience is necessary.

Skills

Familiarity with Distribution Centers is beneficial.

Physical Requirements

Physical strength is essential, including:
- Ability to lift and lower items weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Prolonged standing.
- Reaching and sorting activities.
- Wrist and lower back movements.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Location: Warehouse setting.

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Manager of Sorting Operations.
