Position Overview

The role of a Web Technician involves overseeing the functionality and performance of computer networks within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Coordination: Manage access and utilization of computer networks to ensure seamless operations.
  • Software Installation: Responsible for the installation of necessary software applications.
  • Web Server Management: Set up and maintain web server hardware and software.
  • Printer Maintenance: Ensure printers are loaded with the appropriate paper and forms.
  • Network Administration: Maintain, troubleshoot, and oversee local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and mainframe networks.
  • System Monitoring: Continuously evaluate the performance of computer systems and networks.
  • Hardware Evaluation: Assess and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating systems.
  • Routine Operations: Conduct regular network start-up and shut-down procedures while maintaining control records.
Qualifications
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
