Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Splendour Trucking Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently. This is a permanent position requiring a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and physical stamina.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate a straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles) to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently.
  • Logistics: Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations as required.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Documentation: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and operate GPS and other navigation equipment.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Licenses and Certifications: AZ class license.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, with repetitive tasks, sitting, and weight handling up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organized, reliability, and a team player.
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position requiring a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and physical stamina. The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule.
