We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Splendour Trucking Ltd.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently. This is a permanent position requiring a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and physical stamina.
Key Responsibilities:- Transportation: Operate a straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles) to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently.
- Logistics: Plan and coordinate routes, schedules, and cargo to ensure timely delivery and minimize delays.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cargo, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Communication: Relay information to central dispatch and receive updates on cargo and route changes.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: AZ class license and experience as a commercial driver an asset.
- Skills: Professionalism in customer service, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent travel and varying weather conditions.
