About the Role

eJAmerica is seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our Linux-based infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Linux Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems on our servers and workstations.
  • System Administration: Provide day-to-day system administration, including user management, permissions, and access control.
  • Network Services: Configure and manage network services, including DNS, DHCP, and file sharing.
  • Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect our systems and data from unauthorized access.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high uptime and availability.
  • Compliance: Ensure that our systems and processes comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in Linux system administration.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Certifications: RHEL-7 certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Linux distributions: Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, and SUSE.
  • Scripting and automation: Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Perl.
