Position Overview

As a leading supplier in the automotive sector, CB Canada specializes in molding, painting, assembling, and sequencing automotive components for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a highly qualified maintenance technician with the expertise to deliver specialized mechanical breakdown assistance. Our operations include injection molding and compression presses, and we require superior skills for all types of machinery repairs.

Key Responsibilities


• Mechanical Coordination of Continuous Improvement Tasks
- Organize and oversee assigned work orders
- Collaborate with clients to identify optimal solutions
- Guide personnel in completing tasks
- Prepare reports and maintain documentation

• Continuous Improvement & Capital Projects
- Engage in continuous improvement discussions and technical evaluations
- Share knowledge and expertise to enhance the projects of colleagues
- Lead projects as necessary
- Facilitate and oversee capital initiatives

• Breakdown Analysis
- Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives
- Generate reports and documentation as required
- Assign and monitor work orders related to breakdown assessments

• Machine Open Issues
- Maintain documentation of open issues across all presses
- Follow up on concerns, set target dates, and ensure task completion
- Identify and implement root cause solutions for machine open issues

Key Qualifications/Requirements

- Licensed millwright 443A is preferred
- Relevant hydraulics training or a degree in mechanical engineering is essential
- Strong hydraulic design and troubleshooting expertise
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient project management capabilities
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel
- Strong organizational skills
- Exceptional mechanical aptitude
- Proven leadership skills, capable of directing and motivating team members and contractors
- Some electrical experience is advantageous
- Must prioritize safety and reliability
