We are seeking a part-time Clinical Dietitian to join our team and provide essential nutrition care and support to patients and residents across both facilities. This role offers the flexibility of potentially adjusting days and hours to suit your needs, in collaboration with the successful candidate.
This position requires registration with the College of Dietitians of BC at the Restricted Activity A level.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive nutrition screenings and assessments utilizing established standards, guidelines, and relevant biochemical, anthropometric, and dietary parameters.
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on assessment findings, treatment modalities, and client-centered goals.
- Prescribe appropriate diets and effectively communicate the nutrition care plan and goals to the multidisciplinary team, including Food Services Staff when applicable.
- Monitor biochemical, anthropometric, and dietary parameters to evaluate the effectiveness of the nutrition care plan and make necessary adaptations.
- Educate clients and families about the rationale and mechanics of the nutrition care plan.
- Serve as a valuable resource for multidisciplinary teams, other healthcare professionals, and the wider community regarding nutrition-related matters.
