Position Overview: This role offers a unique opportunity within the Service Manufacturing Engineering sector, focusing on enhancing process efficiencies for MX Product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in smaller, less intricate projects or task-oriented activities.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, including engineering, production, manufacturing engineering, and procurement, to identify and implement enhancements for WESCAM products, ensuring adherence to product specifications and quality benchmarks.
  • Lead and contribute to designated projects associated with Service activities in Operations Engineering.
  • Work alongside the Service Frontline ME team to address operational technical challenges and develop new system processes.
  • Utilize data-driven methodologies to foster improvements, employing Lean tools such as RCCA, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
  • Assist in translating product specifications from engineering into service protocols.
  • Gather and evaluate data concerning estimating accuracy and cycle times related to shop floor throughput.
  • Support modifications to documentation, including service protocols, Work Instructions, and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) authoring.
  • Review and implement changes based on requests from engineering and service personnel.
  • Contribute to additional business priorities as directed by Operations Engineering leadership.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities in a project-oriented environment.
  • Exhibit strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be enrolled in a co-op engineering program at the university or college level.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics is essential.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks, Composer, and AutoCAD is advantageous but not mandatory.
