Position Overview

The role of the Food Service Supervisor involves overseeing the daily operations within a restaurant environment. This position requires a strong background in food service management and the ability to lead a team effectively.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a supervisory role within the food service industry
Work Environment

This position is set in a restaurant atmosphere, requiring the supervisor to maintain a fast-paced and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning
  • Provide training to staff regarding their job responsibilities, as well as sanitation and safety protocols
  • Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation
  • Ensure that food quality and service standards are consistently met
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns effectively
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste
  • Prepare summaries of food orders for the chef
  • Possess knowledge of the culinary styles offered by the establishment
Supervisory Responsibilities

The supervisor will oversee a team of approximately 3-4 individuals, including:

  • Food and beverage servers
  • Kitchen and food service assistants
