We are seeking a highly skilled MRI and PET Technologist to join our team at the University Health Network. As a key member of our Medical Imaging Department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using MRI and PET technology.
Key Responsibilities- Imaging Procedures: Perform MRI and PET procedures to aid in patient diagnosis, intervention, and treatment.
- Protocol Development: Develop and implement MRI protocols as outlined in research documents and imaging guidelines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the safe and effective functioning of medical imaging equipment, including MRI and PET machines.
- Report Writing: Prepare written and electronic reports to document procedures and test results.
- Research and Development: Participate in research meetings and assist in the preparation of manuscripts and grant applications.
- Education and Training: Provide education and training to staff and students on MRI and PET procedures and protocols.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of quality assurance procedures and ensure compliance with hospital and departmental policies.
- Education: Completion of a recognized post-diploma program in MRI or a recognized equivalent with MRI certification.
- Certification: Certification in Nuclear Medicine from a recognized academic institution.
- Experience: Minimum three years of recent clinical MRI experience.
- Registration: Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
- Membership: Membership with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
