Job Title: MRI Research PET-MR Technologist

Job Summary:

The University Health Network (UHN) is seeking a highly skilled MRI Research PET-MR Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our research division, you will be responsible for performing PET-MR and MRI procedures, ensuring MRI safety standards, and operating medical imaging equipment. You will also be involved in research meetings, manuscript preparation, and data processing.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform PET-MR and MRI procedures to aid in patient diagnosis, intervention, and treatment
  • Ensure MRI safety standards are followed at all times
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and ensure safe functioning of medical imaging equipment
  • Prepare written and electronic reports to document procedures and test results
  • Attend research meetings and assist in manuscript preparation and data processing
  • Teach, train, and educate staff on research procedures and protocols
  • Perform other related patient care responsibilities to facilitate optimal patient care

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a recognized post-diploma program in MRI or equivalent with MRI certification
  • Certification in Nuclear Medicine from a recognized academic institution
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
  • Minimum three years recent clinical MRI experience
  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
  • Membership with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
