Position Overview:

The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking a committed Judicial Services Officer to become a vital part of our Court Services Division. In this role, you will oversee the organization of court proceedings, handle case management, and act as a key intermediary between the judiciary and various parties involved. Additionally, you will undertake quasi-judicial responsibilities and ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate court schedules and address public inquiries.
  • Draft and disseminate court orders and legal documents.
  • Maintain case files and deliver exceptional client service.
  • Collaborate with judicial officials and legal practitioners.
  • Examine and implement relevant legal statutes and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess a relevant post-secondary qualification, complemented by experience in a legal setting. Proficiency in various computer software and strong organizational capabilities are essential. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for success in this position.
