Position Overview

The Facility Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency and aesthetic upkeep of our properties. This position demands a proactive approach to various maintenance responsibilities, including repairs, renovations, and outdoor maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily maintenance tasks as directed by the maintenance leadership team.
  • Perform a variety of property upkeep tasks such as drywall repair, painting, carpentry, and minor plumbing and electrical work.
  • Engage in grounds maintenance and snow removal utilizing both hand tools and machinery.
  • Safely operate equipment including snow blowers, front-end loaders, and power tools.
  • Manage shipping and receiving operations, which includes unloading deliveries and waste management.
  • Attend to maintenance requests in guest accommodations and address any related concerns.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property and its systems, reporting any discrepancies.
  • Handle maintenance chemicals responsibly for tasks such as hot tub maintenance and sewage management.
  • Drive the guest shuttle outside of designated hours if necessary.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workshop while adhering to safety standards.
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment and comply with company policies and grooming standards.
  • Document daily activities and participate in safety meetings as required.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the maintenance management team.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
  • Experience in basic carpentry, drywall repair, and painting.
  • Familiarity with electrical, plumbing, or tiling work is beneficial.
  • Ability to perform essential maintenance tasks and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Dedication to safety protocols and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Capability to work in varying weather conditions and flexible shift patterns.
  • Ability to work independently and manage physical demands, including lifting up to 80 pounds and climbing ladders.
