We are seeking a highly skilled Equity Researcher to join our team at Skill Farm. As an Equity Researcher, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of the Basic Materials sector and individual global Metals/Mining/Materials companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and adapt sophisticated financial models using Excel to evaluate company performance and assess valuation metrics.
  • Conduct research on business factors such as financial performance, competitive position, corporate strategy, and quality of company management.
  • Assess valuation metrics, considering factors such as commodity prices, operational costs, and growth projections under a variety of scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the mining industry and its trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in geology, mining engineering, or a related field.
  • Direct experience in the mining industry and/or experience in equity research, investment banking, or a related field, with a focus on the mining sector.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques, including discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, comparable company analysis (CCA), and precedent transactions analysis.
