About the Role:
Family Services Employee Assistance Program (FSEAP) offers professional counseling services to employees of various organizations who may be facing challenges in their personal, familial, or professional lives. Additionally, the program provides a range of organizational services to corporate clients, including workplace consulting, training, and critical incident stress management.
As a social enterprise of Family Services of Greater Vancouver (FSGV), FSEAP operates as a fee-generating entity, with all profits directed towards supporting the broader mission of FSGV and the Greater Vancouver community.
In alignment with the mission, vision, values, and person-centered philosophy of the Agency, the Counselor delivers short-term, solution-focused counseling within an EAP framework for individuals, couples, families, and children. This role addresses a diverse array of concerns, including but not limited to separation and divorce, relationship challenges, parenting issues, family disputes, grief and loss, aging, depression, and anxiety. The position actively promotes the Agency's commitment to diversity and inclusion.

GS 13 Step 1 $37.51/hour
What You Bring:
Education, Training, Experience:
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Clinical Psychology or equivalent
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience providing counseling for individuals, couples, families, and/or children or 2,500 counseling hours
- Current registration with a regulatory body: RSW, CCC, or RCC
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Exceptional clinical skills, with a deep understanding of mental health and substance abuse issues, as well as short-term, solution-focused treatment approaches
- Outstanding case management skills, including knowledge of community resources and the ability to assist clients in effectively accessing and utilizing those resources
- Proven ability to create and maintain professional clinical records with meticulous attention to detail
- A second language is an asset, but not required

- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check
