About the RoleAs a Registered Clinical Counsellor, you will provide high-quality counselling services to clients referred privately, by employers, or through various insurance companies. You will adopt a goal-focussed, therapeutic approach to alleviate distress and improve social and occupational functioning. Your expertise will be valued as you participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss clients' treatment plans and goals.
Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to clients with a range of mental health symptoms, including grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment issues.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that address clients' unique needs and goals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality reports and communication to stakeholders.
- Master's degree in Counselling or Clinical Psychology from an accredited University.
- Registration with the BC Association of Clinical Counselors or the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Registered Clinical Counsellor.
- Proven expertise in cognitive-behavioral therapy approaches and experience working with diverse adult populations.
